I have a Bachelor of Education Honours Degree, a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Management and Administration, National Professional Qualification for Headteachers and a Doctorate in Education.
For over forty years I have served as a secondary school practitioner as a subject teacher for both English and English Literature, Deputy Head of House, Head of House, Head of Year, Head of English Faculty, Senior Teacher for Pastoral Care, Senior Teacher for the Curriculum, Ofsted Trained Inspector for Secondary Schools, Headteacher, Education Consultant and writer.
In addition, I have been an Inter School Examination Assessor for English, English Examiner, Teacher Appraiser, In Service Education Training (INSET) Presenter, Professional and Subject Teacher Trainer for the following courses: Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Graduate Teacher Training Programme (GTTP), Teach First, Overseas Trained Teacher (OTT).
I am also a Social and Education Project Analyst, Education Conference Speaker and a Mentor for young people.
I have co-authored two books with Dr Keith Davidson: ‘Education: A pathway to success for Black Children’ in 2012 and ‘The Power of the Mind: A new perspective on intellect and intelligence’ in 2018.
